I bought this motherboard to use for my new computer which I built. So far the board works as expected. My configuration is as follows:
    -Intel i7 3930k processor
    -Corsair H60 water cooler
-Quad channel ram, 4gb per channel
    -Nvidia 590 gtx
    -Corsair 850w power supply (850HX)

Installing the water cooler was a bit of a hassle. The instructions mentioned that you needed to take the socket/bracket off the motherboard. That is not necessary, at least with this motherboard. The water cooler mount points line up perfectly with the socket/bracket. Also, there is plenty of space around the socket in case your water cooler (or fan) has a larger attachment, which is convenient.

The BIOS for this motherboard contains many options for configuring and overclocking. I can’t say I have touched any of these yet, the defaults seem to be fine for running your system at the default clock. As far as the hardware itself, there seems to be plenty of connectors in terms of things like usb3.0/sata3/e-sata etc. All in all, a great setup.

I wanted a gamer oriented motherboard that could handle the latest intel cpu’s. I bought two: one for my son’s computer and one for mine. The board fit nicely in both cases. The bios is very well laid out and has all the controls and flexibility you would want to over clock your computer. I installed intel 3820 processors in both systems along with 16gb of ram from corsair. This system has worked very well for both me and my son and we have fun playing our reloaded games on a very fast system. The instructions and web site were well laid out, detailed and easy to use. All of the drivers I needed were readily available. Upgrading the bios to the latest version was easy. Keep in mine if you are over clocking your equipment that you have a good cooling system and that what you purchase will fit on the motherboard within the case. I did have problems with the corsair ram heat sinks as they are right uo against the cpu and interfered with the CPU heat sink I had purchased. I had to remove the ram heat sink to make the CPU heat sink work. Since I am not over clocking the ram or the CPU this worked out ok. In general I am very pleased with my purchase and how it worked out.

This board is awesome for size. I have it in a mid size case with SLI GTX580 running great with a 3930K at 3.7. Great overclocking abilities. The bios can be overwhelming for first time users but also has a easy to use interface for overclocking easy. My only advice is when board is received review the pins or go over very very carefully with finger. If any pins are misplaced, longer or off to the side do not use it and return it immediately. I didn’t first time and fried my CPU. Be careful on 120 mm water cpu cooler and the ram slot along that side. The corsair H70 and a corsair 600tt case will touch the ram when using a push pull effect. I had to mount one fan on the outside. It’s a nice board with good features for futures use upgrades. Price could be better but Asus is a good company. This is my 5 MB from them.
