My first two orders were the 2x8gb 1866mhz version, then the 2x8gb 1600mhz version.

I’ve used Corsair products since 2006 and have always been happy them until now. Before I tell you my experience I always test my hardwares with IBT, Prime95, HCI Memtest, and OCCT GPU.

The first 2x8gb 1866mhz to arrive kept giving me lots of BSOD “blue screen of death” and errors.
The second ones to arrive didn’t give me the BSOD, but gave me errors. I have also noticed CPUID CPU-Z shows XMP Profile on both of 2x8gb 1866mhz actually shows 9-9-9 27 1778mhz instead of 9-10-9 27 1866mhz. When I manually set it to 9-10-9 27 1866mhz its still not stable.
So… after noticing both of the 2x8gb 1866mhz don’t run as advertised. I downgraded to the 2x8gb 1600mhz version instead. The XMP Profile runs as advertised, but it has errors.
It seems 2x8gb aren’t as stable yet. I’m going to give Corsair one last shot and try their 4x4gb Platinum Series.

What I’ve used before switching to Platinum Series was the Corsair Vengeance 16GB 4x4gb 1866mhz. They were flawless, but doesn’t look as astonishing as the Platinum Series.
    My build
    Intel Core i7 3770K
    Asus Sabortooth Z77
    EVGA 580 GTX 3GB
    Vertex3 MI 120GB
    Corsair 850AX PSU
    Corsair 600T White SE

Just bought 2 packs of this ram for a total of 32GB. This stuff is heavy duty and very heavy due to the heatsinks on it. No problem clocking this faster, runs relatively cool. Light bar effects are on the weak side, certainly not on par with say Corsair XMS 2 or the Crucial Ballistix Tracer.
