This card is a looker! The custom cooler was a main factor why I chose this over other reference 7970’s. The card comes with an HDMI male to DVI female adapter for those who want to run more than 1 monitor. The card also came with a handy little chart listing the possible connectivity options for multiple screens; pretty handy. The fan profile is a huge improvement for me from my 6870 card, as the 6870 never went over 33% fan speed until critical temperatures (85~90C); idles at around 20% fan speed, and rises up to 40~50% fan speed at 80C or higher.

For those who are wondering, the card I’ve received was a reference model, not the new revision with 2 DVI outputs, so for those who plan on putting on a waterblock on this card, you’re in luck.

Edit: After closer inspection, this card does not have a BIOS switch.
