Nice quiet and efficient power supply,
I am very happy with this power supply. It is very quiet. The fan does not even come on until I start a game that loads both my CPU and GPU, loading the CPU alone (i5-2500) is not enough to do that. Even when the fan does come on it is very quiet. The removable cables work well and had all the ones I needed for my setup (Motherboard, 8pin CPU connector, single GPU with two 6 pin power connectors, SSD, 3 SATA hard drives and a SATA blu-ray). If you need more than 2 6/8 pin GPU power connectors, you need a different power supply like the Seasonic 760W 80 Plus Gold ATX12V/EPS12V Power Supply – X-760 SS-760KM which Amazon also sells.
I can not directly measure the efficiency of this power supply since I don’t have the specialized equipment needed for that, but I can tell you my new computer uses just a little less power than my old one and the power factor was 0.99 (both measured with a kill-a-watt meter). Also reviews of this power supply at sites like anandtech show that it is very efficient.
Unlike the older 550, 750, 850 and 1050 models whose fan grills protrude, the fan grill on this 560 model is flush with the top the PSU. For my case (a Lian Li PC60) this is important because the power supply slides in from the back of the case and a protruding fan grill keeps it from fitting. I had to return a Corsair 750 PSU (which is almost identical to the Seasonic 750w and is made by Seasonic) because it would not fit my case due to the protruding fan grill.
I would definitely buy this PSU again or recommend it to others, but my next PSU will probably be the 760 watt model instead of this 560 watt one since I want to be able to run 2 GPU’s in my next machine.

Solid high quality power supply.,
The Seasonic X-560 is an extremely solid unit. When coupled with a suitably quiet chip set, it creates the quietest computer i’ve ever heard. Thoughtfully recommend it, especially to those who want a quiet computer.

Best PSU I’ve ever Owned!,
This thing is QUIET! The fan has only ever turned on once as my system doesn’t really draw much power (integrated graphics). The only thing I can really complain about is the cables that come with it, some of their configurations and lengths of cables don’t make much sense. Other than that this thing is rated as one of the MOST power efficient PSU’s there is.
Oh and I keep seeing the x650/x660 cheaper than this one.. what gives!?!?
