Good, fast, easy.,
This graphics card works well, in most games. Most games run well on low-medium setting on a good resolution. As a matter of fact I think it could run better but I think that my CPU is bottle-necking it. I have a 2.1 GHz Anthlon 64 X2 4000+ Brisbane, I think that may be too slow for this card. The graphics part of my Windows Experience Index jumped from 3.2 (integrated graphics) to 6.7 (6.9 W/ overclock.)
The card was very easy to install on a PCI-E 16x 1.1, just pry out the small piece of metal protecting the slot (if your computer has one) and push the card in along the guides. Make sure there is nothing blocking the ventilation from the fan.
The card runs very cool, going up to about a max of 62C while running a stress test. It’s even overclocked a bit! Idle temp is about 38C while in an ambient room temp of 72F. Fan is barely audible at idle (39% speed) or under high performance mode (48% speed). Even at 100% speed it’s almost unnoticeable while wearing earphones.
I have it slightly overclocked with the AMD software (875MHz Core 915MHz Memory) and like I said, it still runs quiet and cool. Just make sure that if you’re overclocking to check it with a stress testing software to make sure it still runs cool, that your system is still stable, and that there is no graphical glitches. I found that if I push the memory past 950 MHz then I get occasional dots or flashing parts, so I pulled it back a bit. (I used FurMark)
I haven’t tried using the HDMI port yet, I’ll update the review when I do. But both the VGA and DVI work well on my 19″ LCD computer monitor. I also haven’t tried using more than one display, again I edit if I do. See edit 2
I just sent out (3-10-2012) the rebate using the “fast” option which reduces the waiting time from 6-10 weeks to 5-10 days for 1$. Rebate was easy to print out as the form is made for you, you just have to sign the paper you print out. The rebate is sent on a prepaid gift card from American Exp. I’ll update it once I get the rebate back. Check edit 1
Overall this is a very good card for the money, especially with the rebate.
Pros:
-Good performance for the price
-Runs cool and quiet
-Supports multiple displays and crossfire
-DirectX 11
-VGA, DVI and HDMI (3D)
-Low power consumption (not sure exactly how much but a bit less than 75W)
Cons:
-Graphical glitches when I go past 950 MHz
-Isn’t going to run stuff like Crysis 2 on high, but that’s expected from the price
Overall, this is one of the best (if not THE best) cards you can get in this price range and not requiring direct power from the PSU. I would highly recommend this card to someone on a tight budget.
Edit 1: I got the rebate back about 2 weeks ago, just as promised.
Edit 2: I tried using two screens and it worked perfectly. I used VGA on my computer monitor (1440X900 60Hz) and had DVI connected to a 1080p 30Hz screen and I barely noticed a drop in performance.
Edit 3: The price seemed to have fluctuated a bit, but it’s back to a good price. I just got a new computer and installed this as soon as possible. Surprisingly, even with the overclock still active, this runs well on a 300W PSU. I sure Dell gave conservative estimates on the power, but considering it’s also powering a 4 core processor, it’s doing well for 300W. Most games work well (30+ FPS) with okay setting on a 1080p resolution.

Can’t beat it.,
Although my system was fairly fast I had poor video and didn’t know it until I installed latest Microsoft flight simulator. I reviewed many video cards before my purchase i knew i could find a good card if i spent big money, but was shocked how cheaply i was able to get this card for. It runs with the big boys and supports the latest 3-D enhancements. Now I’m able to max out all video settings at very reasonable price. Great product. Thank you
