Nice picture but…..,
– As the other review states, the stand forces the screen to tilt down, no way to adjust other than to prop it up
– Can’t be mounted on an arm (no screw holes in back)
– Can only be adjusted (brightness, color etc) using a downloadable program that is only compatible with a limited number of video cards, mine isn’t one of them

Nothing but problems.,
This is the only time that I have ever had issues with a monitor. It does not properly expose its display modes, so I was unable to get it to the reported maximum resolution on either a Windows XP, Windows 7, or Mac machine. I even tried using a DisplayPort connector rather than connecting it directly with a VGA cable. Samsung doesn’t provide a real driver, but rather a modification of a Windows generic driver. Even using the nVidia control panel to try to force it into its maximum resolution was only a minor success as the picture quality was poor.
I have Samsung TV’s, a Samsung Galaxy Tab, and a Samsung phone and have never had any problems.
This monitor does not live up to the quality of the brand.

Not right for graphic heavy programs,
I bought this monitor to replace a twelve year old dcl lcd that was dying. One reason I choose it was that the Samsung tv I bought is great, wonderful color, viewable from any angle, so I expected the same with this monitor. Never even thought to question it.
WRONG! I am extremely disappointed with this monitor. If I had bought it from amazon, it would be going back today. Not only is it actually smaller than my old 19 inch because of the “widescreen” aspect ratio (which is the long skinny version), but the quality of the image, which is the most important thing to me, is seriously really bad. Any movement away from the “perfect” viewing angle renders images dark, distorted, and with horrible contrast. I suppose there are tech terms for this, but I’ve always had good monitors before so it has never been an issue.
As a photographer and artist, quality images are extremely important to me. Now, gone are the days when I can move to a more comfy chair to watch a video or just study the screensaver with all 15,000 of the images I’ve created while sipping my coffee away from the keyboard. No guest will ever be able to see anything from across the room and be impressed. At least not on this monitor.
If you are only inputing or reading data and never move from dead center, it might be ok.
And as has been stated by other reviewers, before you can even begin to adjust the screen you must go to the Samsung website and download MagicTune, which is mediocre at best. What meager instructions that came with it are bad in about fifty languages, all on one sheet.
Really regret not fully researching before buying. Also really regret not buying this from Amazon, because tigerdirect will only allow returns for damaged items, and then only with an identical replacement.
