VERY loud at load,
Being modular is fantastic for a clean setup. It seems to generate plenty of stable power.
Here’s where it fails: it is VERY loud at load. At idle or just messing around the internet this thing is quiet, but as soon as you start up a game it will be extremely loud! The fan is by far the loudest part of my computer, which is very annoying. I have a i5 2500k stock speed and a GTX570.
If I’d known about the noise I would have gone with another psu.

LOUD!!! Please stop selling this product!,
Great looking product and powers like it should. But there is a bad batch of them that made it to shelves around the US that have faulty fan controllers. This is causing them to be very loud at load and remaining at load until powered off and then on. Read the many reviews off Newegg.com from customers that have the same problem.
So instead of exchanging it through Amazon and taking the risk of ending up with another faulty product, I decided to contact their customer service so they can send me a working product. But the problem is that there customer service wants you to pay for the shipping to get it replaced!!! This is horrible, they know that they have a problem but won’t own up to it and send out a return postage stamp. Many company’s pay for return postage even when they know their product doesn’t have a defect. This made me lose all respect for this company.
And as for Amazon or Micocenter or any other company selling this product, please stop! OCZ needs recall this off the shelf and fix the issue, instead of letting so many customers go through this crap.
Returned and purchased Corsair instead.

OCZ is the best!,
A little over a month ago I bought the OCZ ModXStream Pro 600W Modular High Performance Power Supply. I kept having EMI (Electromagnetic interference) and or RF Noise on my Flat Screen t.v. when I turned on the computer. I emailed OCZ and their tech support said its very rare but does happen and gave me an RMA # and upgraded me to this PSU and even apologized. From the email to sending PSU to them and getting the new one was one week total. This PSU is awesome and has more then enough cables for any user.
I highly recommend this PSU and now I’m an OCZ fan forever.
