MSI Z68 G3,
This board was the basis for a ‘multimedia’ machine for one of my clients. It’s new ‘click’ BIOS and it’s ‘Easy OC’ feature worked as advertised. MSI builds excellent hardware but has been known to be a little inconsistant with it’s utilities. I’m glad to say the utilities for this board seemed more polished and professional. Though I’ve only really been through the basics to date due to a heavy workload and the deadline for this build, I’ve yet to encounter any serious issues with the BIOS or software. Thanks for the improvement, MSI. And thanks for a nice product.

Excellent board,
I’ve only been running this board for a few days now but I am confident that I can give it a positive review. This is the first motherboard I’ve installed and thus far the experience with it has been excellent.
The installation went fine thanks to the included documentation. The package included spare SATA cables and many other peripheral parts that came in handy. It’s worth noting that this board doesn’t have an IDE interface, but there are IDE/SATA adapters available for sale for those with older IDE DVD-ROM drives or other legacy devices. The most difficult part was connecting the case front panel switches and LEDs, but that was easily accomplished by referring closely to the included documentation, looking up information specific to my case, and using a couple jumpers that were included with the MSI board.
The BIOS is great and recognized my USB mouse and keyboard even when my older OS (WinXP) did not (until I switched them to the first available USB 2.0 ports). Some of the included applications are pretty useful. The additional USB 3.0 expansion plate was a pleasant surprise. I have no complaints regarding the construction or materials. Everything seems to be working well and I am looking forward to exploring the full potential of this motherboard as I continue to rebuild, update, and expand my system.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE,
I have an MSI motherboard that recently stopped working for no reason. It is still under manufacturer warrenty and the repair shop told me to call MSI to get a replacement.
I called them…waited on hold forever. Finally got someone on the phone, and gave him all the information (receipts, proof of purchase, yada yada). Then he gives me an RMA number and tells me they will email me instructions as to what to do. “What?” I say. “I want to handle this now on the phone. I am without my computer, and I need you to send me a replacement board immediatly. I will send you your defective board when I get the new one”. The representative on the phone transfers me to a different guy (on hold again for a long time). The next guy is even more useless than the last, and he transfers me again!!! Still no help, and no email with instructions.
They want me to send them the defective motherboard back with no packaging from them or paperwork and hoope that they don’t lose it. To me this is lame. I gave them proof it was purchased and from which store. They need to stand behind their product and send me a new one, immediately and in advance, and include prepaid packaging for their defective motherboard. THAT IS NOT HOW THEY DO THINGS!
Still no replacement. Still no word. Do not buy from MSI, they do not stand behind their products and they give you the run around when you call customer service.
DO NOT BUY MSI!
