MSI 990FX GD80,
Out of the box and into the case. Plugged in the AMD 8 core 8150 and Boom, it was ALIVE, Oh not to mention FAST with 16gig of Mem.
Only gripe I have is it seems MSI is real picky on their rebate information as they rejected a copy of my Order/Invoice I printed from Amazon and stuffed in the envelope with my rebate form and said it was not with the required information ? That’s why I took off 1 star.
I contacted them but no response yet.

Great Motherboard after bios flash,
So far so good after i flashed the bios. I clocked the my girlfriends 955 cpu in it at 3.8 with a 250 fsb and some 1600 g.skill x memory at 1666 and a coolit systems eco cpu cooler. The bios is quit different than the asus chfv so it took a little time to figure out how to do it. Its been a great board so far and once i got used to the updated bios it was alot easier to to get stable at 250fsb than the asus board. The only reral issue is that msi sould have made this board a little longer. The conecters for the power switch, hd, pwled and all the front usb poert headers barely and i meen barely are able to be connected. I think this is probubly the reason why its less expensive than the asus board but i really do not know. Hope this helps anyone thinking about buying this.

msi 990fxa gd 80,
Nice looking board, comes with tons of sata cables, very durable finish, i like the placement of slots, running 2 video cards, thought i would notice more of a difference with 16x on both. I hate msi live update it seems to not want to work half the time and always full of useless programs i have no desire to download still not sure if i need to download the amd chipset drivers, im running nvdia graphics and I feel that the amd chipset drivers are for ati cards since amd purchased ati, first time i tried to download them system froze and had to restart now it shows i need to download once again, another issue is that on several drivers it says new ones available however they will never install correctly, so hence why i am not to happy with live update service.
