Good performance for the money,
PROS:
It is twice as fast as it needs to be to clear what I consider to be my ideal minimum performance threshold. It is very responsive. Upgraded from an AMD PhenomII and my wife- who didn’t like me spending a couple hundred on a system overhaul- was happy with how much noticeably faster her computer experience is. Fast enough to be an entry-level gaming machine with the right video card and native DDR3 1600 RAM (8 GBs for gaming).
Very low power means low heat, which also means it is about silent with a cheap PWM aftermarket cooler that runs based on how hot this thing is. The fan only spins up when the computer turns on and when I am pushing the processor to its limits. The copper plate heat-sink by itself keeps it under 40C all by itself under typical loads. That is awesome.
Really very happy with it.
