If you don’t need overclocking, this is a great processor!,
Extremely happy with the speed, temp, and power draw of this processor. Seems to match the benchmarks of the 3770k (when that one isn’t overclocked…). I even liked the stock CPU fan enough to use it instead of a aftermarket cooler (a first for me).

Well worth the price!,
My first review with my first Intel processor. All I can say its stable, fast, and faster then my AMD Phenom II 965! Both are rated at 3.4mhz but this 3rd generation processor is 3 times faster in benchmarks and noticably faster in FPS games. I’m running it on the Asus Z77 Sabertooth board and in a few months I will be dropping out the pair of GTX-470’s I have running in SLI, to be replaced with one GTX-670 or GTX-680 in the fall. My only problem with Intel is, its so dam expensive than a system with AMD. WHY??? Yes they are fast, reliable chips, but so is AMD! Just not as fast. It all comes down to this, I wanted a CPU that will take me up into a build that was close to the top for a Gaming System, the i7 3770 or 3770K does it!I believe the 1155 platform will be around for sometime so check it out.

Amazing,
I just built this system this week:
Motherboard: Intel DZ77BH55K Extreme Series LGA 1155 Desktop Board

Memory: Corsair Memory Vengeance 16 Dual Channel Kit DDR3 1600 MHz 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM

In my Antec 1200 Full Tower case and it runs like a dream without any o/c
