Best processor I’ve ever purchased,
Built myself a custom gaming rig 4 years ago with this processor and it STILL kicks tail on virtually any game I install, running at maxed settings. This thing is faster still (after 4 years) than most quad-core or i3/i5 machines I’ve used. I thoroughly researched the CPU and to my continued delight, it has never performed less than fantastic. Would buy another (they are now half the price I paid) in a heartbeat.

Fast, good overclocker,
After using AMD64 for a couple of years, I am back to Intel.
Core2duo is really amazing. This processor is fast, about 3.75 Ghz AMD X2
equivalent, and overclocks well with good mobo. I have P5K-V and running
at 3.6Ghz with a Cooler master Aquagate S1, high 20Cs low load, low 50Cs
full load. Very few apps can use 100% of this CPU.
Only downside is 45nm C2Ds coming real soon.

oh yes, it’s fast,
Just built a pretty high-end rig powered by the E6850 and it has met all of my expectations. It’s very fast and I have had no problems whatsoever.
System Specs: Asus P5K3 Deluxe Motherboard, Intel E6850 Processor, 2GB Corsair DDR3 RAM, Thermaltake 1200watt PSU, HIS Radeon HD2900XT 1GB Video Card, Soundblaster X-Fi Elite Sound, Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit, Liquid Cooling.
For Asus Mobo users: You will probably get a uCode error when you boot this processor up for the first time. Just flash the BIOS and the error will go away.
