Wow!,
First off, RAM is getting cheaper. This is pretty decent RAM for the cost (compared to the cost a few months ago I have seen for RAM). 16GB of dual channel RAM for under $100, it must be going obsolete at that price. Actually it is going obsolete, but it is still relevant and probably will be for a few years. I dropped it into my MSI 785G board and it is a great complement to my system. Tests actually seem to indicate that it can send the data faster than my processor can process it so I am fairly certain I have no bottlenecking issues with this RAM – at least not on the RAM but rather on the CPU. So now I just need to get a faster CPU.
I use and AMD Athlon quad core CPU. I am considering upgrading it to a hexa-core phenom and that should alleviate the lag on the CPU.

Corsair Memory set,
I bought this matched set of memory modules to max out the memory in my new XPS 8300 Dell computer. It was about $125 dollar less expensive to do it myself in this manner rather than have Dell do it. I was delighted to discover the high quality of this set compared to the new memory I pulled from the computer to install these. These have built in heat dissipation whereas the original memory was no frills added and rather flimsy by comparison. their smooth housing also made them more easy to handle than the original memory. Installation and booting up the computer with the new memory installed went without glitch. I put the original memory units in the nice protective packaging the new memory came with to keep it safe. Instructions were clear and easy to read. I would look for Corsair memory modules again if I need to upgrade another computer in the future.

Great Buy!,
This is very reliable RAM for a great price. I popped these into my Dell XPS 8300 before I booted my XPS up for the first time. The specs on this RAM exactly match the Dell specs. 16GB of RAM from Dell is a rip off – I DO like Dell’s PC’s but their upgrade costs can be pricey.
Make sure you’re using a 64 bit platform because max on a 32 bit machine is only 4GB. I do a lot of photo and video processing so the RAM does come in handy. A great buy – thanks Amazon and Corsair!
Pleases see my review on the XFX AMD Radeon HD 6870 900M 1 GB DDR5 DUAL MINIDP HDMI DUAL DVI PCI-E Video Card (HD687AZHFC). This is another superb upgrade for the Dell XPS 8300 at a fraction of Dell’s price. These are very easy upgrades that will save lots of money!
