What I wanted for a good price,
The board it self works perfectly, while it is tight around some of the pcie slots I already knew that especially with larger graphic cards that might be an issue. Other than that I put it in to my rig and it worked with out a hitch.

Wonderful,
Wonderful board. I bought this board with an AMD3 Phenom II x6 1055T and it works flawlessly together. Now… I did buy this board, DDR3 8GB RAM, and a nice heatsink for the fan, New Video Card whilst only to find out my hard drive is failing so I have random lock-ups but that is through no fault of this board. The board performs wonderfully and it’s a great way to shave a few bucks off of building a new PC while having a great board.
Pros:
Has some USB 3.0
SATAIII (6/GBs) is really nice
Supports up to 16GB of RAM. More than you really need which is ALWAYS nice.
Has some nice room for extra CPU heatsink.
Having a POSTing issue? The DEBUG LED is a wonderful feature.
Cons: (I’m really just being picky here and stretching to find issues…)
Only 2 USB 3.0 ports and they are on the back only.
As with ALL modern motherboards… Once you buy a decent sized Graphics Card… It covers up one of the PCI-E 16 slots. Unless you really need those though, not really a huge issue.
No legacy IDE plug. (I KNOW this shouldn’t even be a gripe but I frantically had to find a way to install Win 7 from a flash drive because I didn’t have a SATA Optical Drive when I built my PC.
Final statement: WONDERFUL motherboard and well worth the buy. Shaves a few bucks off the total price of a PC and if you are on a budget, this is the motherboard to use while building a great system for a solid buck.

Dead on arrival…,
I’ve been working in the IT field for nearly 10 years now and have been building systems for longer than that. On paper, the Biostar TA870U3+ looks like a great board, and it probably is, but I’ll never know because the one I ordered was dead-on-arrival. While I was troubleshooting it and trying to figure out what was going on, I quickly discovered that while many were satisfied by this particular board, there was a smaller percentage that either received a dead one, like myself, or had theirs die within a few months. That was enough for me, so I returned it and opted for another board. I’m a fan of Biostar products, in general, but this is one to steer clear from.
