Excellent motherboard! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED,
I have owned great Biostar motherboards for several years, and this one is no exception. Don’t be chased off by the lower quality of Biostar’s budget boards, because these higher-end boards are apparently what they focus their time on! Excellent, intuitive BIOS settings, a high range of compatibility with parts I have tested, and a sleek red-and-black look on black silicon that is so much more appealing than the basic greens and pastel colors that several motherboards have. This is a high-quality board that will work for just about any build. I’m using it with a Phenom II X4 955BE, 2x4GB Corsair DDR3-1333 RAM, and an XFX Radeon HD 6790, all inside a Raidmax Tornado case, and the board works wonderfully. NOTE: THIS BOARD HAS NO ONBOARD VIDEO, LIKE MANY HIGH-PERFORMANCE MOTHERBOARDS. But, honestly, if no onboard video is a problem for you, go pick up a Radeon HD 5450 for $30 on Newegg and get into the modern era.

|Good board for a power AMD build,
I went with this board for my 6 core 1090T 125W build, and have been pleased with its performance. It has 6 SATA 3 connections for the latest hard drives like the OCZ vertex III drive that I used for my boot drive, and the WD 1tb 6gb/sec black for additional space. I popped in 16gb of DDR3 ram, and all was recognized from the first boot. The only reason why I did not give it 5 stars, was that it only had one other sys fan connection other than the CPU fan.

This board has worked very well. It’s been about 4 months and it is still running perfectly. I haven’t tried crossfire, but be forewarned: from what I read, when you run two video cards on this board, they will not both run at x16, they will both run somewhere around x8. I’ve not seen this officially, but I have seen it on multiple forums and sites. Also, I’m using Corsair RAM that and a Galaxy video card, neither of which are supported by this board officially, but both of which work fine. So don’t stress too much about the restricted list of supported devices.
