Decent Monitor,
I purchased this monitor because it was relatively affordable and I wanted a monitor so I could dual screen my laptop for doing programming homework. Although that is the main reason I purchased this monitor, I plan to use it for gaming here and there.
I received it today and it was very easy to setup (most monitor are). It looks very sleek, and has a small footprint if you have limited desk space (as I do.) So far it has great colors and depth to the picture. I went with Asus because it appeared they had the most reviews usually averaging to 4 or 5 stars (both on Amazon and Newegg.)
I gave it four stars because sometimes there appears to be a wavering in the screen. Usually when a large portion of the screen is taken up by a darker blue or green color. It isn’t super noticeable, but it is definitely there. I’d be curious to hear if anyone else notices it.
But all and all good monitor for the price, I got it for just under $100. I’ll update this review if anything changes!
EDIT: So I did some searching and it turns out the wavering I was seeing it caused by the VGA cable running next to my power cable for my laptop. I separated them and there is still some wavering/flickering. I may just be because I have an older laptop. I’ll have to try it with my newer one.

Asus 19- Inch LED Monitor,
The monitor replaced a 6 yr old Gateway monitor which just suddenly refused to sync — died. I like most things about this monitor the biggest concern is the density of the text. There just doesn’t seem to be the contrast the old monitor had and they’re the same basic resolution. I’ve tried various setting but still have not been able to achieve the text contrast. That said I do believe the graphical presentation is excellent.

Nice monitor,
Nice color, very nice monitor. I found it to be a good value for what I paid for it. Connections exit to the rear at a 90 degree to the screen.
