Good Functional Motherboard,
This is a great motherboard and a first time experience with UEFI. This board is well built and comes Ivy-Bridge and PCI Express 3.0 ready for 2012. I’m using a 2500k processor and 16gb of Corsair memory on this motherboard with zero issues to boot. Layout on this board is very spacious, lots of room for big coolers and jumbo graphics cards. This also looks very nice with bright case lighting. This is definitely a very full featured board.
This is the first time I’ve used UEFI over the traditional bios and all I can say it was a breeze to use once you figure out what is what. The board auto overclocks everything to (4.3Ghz plus some on a BLCKx103). I turned the BCLK down to 100 and set the multiplier to x43 getting about 1.28v on full load, I’m sure I can go lower on the voltage, but it is completely safe; with Prime95 test running the CPU on this board on full load I’m getting 50-58c deepening on ambient temperatures with the Corsair H100 CPU cooler. With Intel SpeedStep enable I am getting 20-30c idle for the processor and 21c for the motherboard, plus or minus some depending on ambient temperature.
Notes: I highly recommend manual overclocking on this board for optimal performance. When the motherboard boots it will show the hard drives plugged into the SATA ports, you can easily disable this in the UEFI menu so it will only show the ASUS logo; I thought it was annoying having those two extra SATA screens pop up.
Positives:(+)
* UEFI(easy to navigate too)
* Setup and debugging is a breeze
* Board is arranged and designed nicely
* Little touches definitely give it that deluxe feel
* LucidLogix Virtu – Auto Switching between Integrated Graphics and NVIDIA/AMD Cards
* Intel Smart Response Technology – SSD Speed with HDD Capacity.
* Lots of Inputs(SATA, USB, Ethernet, etc)
* Good manual for those new to building a custom PC
* Excellent Quality Board
* Built in bluetooth
Negatives:(-)
* Auto Overclock gives slightly to much voltage and BCLK set auto sets to 103.
* Software is a bit finicky.
Conclusion: I am very happy with this board, and it will serve me well with the 2500k, I don’t foresee upgrading for at least 3 years; although maybe for the Ivy Bridge processor in this motherboard since it will run cooler and use less power on a 22nm fabrication.

no issues,
Easy painless install and setup. No issues noted, high quality. Fired up first hit.
Using SSD as cache drive was a pain to set up for various reason, and can’t say that I’m seeing any benefit. Slower if anything…suspect I’ll end up reformatting/configuring and using the SSD as an OS/boot drive. Wouldn’t let me use a USB stick for the RAID drivers, had to root around for couple hours digging out a USB floppy drive, and good luck finding an actual 3.5 floppy in a hurry without burglarizing a museum.
Cheaper mobos’ available that are just as functional. Really can’t say that being PCI-E 3.0 capable is worth the extra money now that I spent it…

Excellent Asus Motherboard,
This is a great board; no problems. Great features. Appeasing to the eyes. Easy to setup. Bios was easy to upgrade with no problems from beginning to end. I overclocked manually with the Core i7 2600K. Perfect no problems on my first day. I built systems with MSI/Gigabyte AMD boards in the past, this is my first Intel board using an Asus board and Intel chip. Amazingly easy to understand and get lastest updates from Asus website (i.e. motherboard). Great product.
