Quiet and complete,
I like this little board. Installation was relatively easy, it runs quiet and fairly cool. It is currently driving a visio TV by way of the on board HDMI output. Yes, audio is pumped out the HDMI port just fine. It’s nice to get rid of the audio lines and external speakers. Less cable and desk clutter. Over all, this is a nice little board for a computer that is not intended for big time gaming or other CPU hogging applications. I’d have zero qualms about adding a blu-ray drive to this motherboard for a home theater PC.
This is my first ASRock motherboard. They’ve been well reviewed elsewhere so I decided to give it a try. Did I mention that it is quiet and runs cool? I’m typing this review on the resulting PC. The build is:
Thermaltake Mini ITX Case

G.SKILL 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1333 Memory F3-10600CL9D-8GBNT

1080p TV with decent speakers

ASRocks!,
This motherboard/APU combo is a little dynamo. Installation was a breeze, and I was surprised and delighted to be able to use the mouse in the BIOS setup. The manual is well-written and includes color photos. The HDMI-out carries the audio and video to a 55″ Vizio TV in the family room. Input is handled by a mini wireless keyboard/touchpad. The OS is Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, and we’re running iTunes to play music streamed from our HP MediaVault mv2120 NAS on our surround sound system. How cool is that?
