Bought this because my other motherboard was DOA (pci-express slot wansn’t working) I read the features and it sounds good even better than the last mobo I thought was good. It’s a full size which is nice the layout is pretty clean. Supports up to 32 gbs, but I’m pretty sure I’ll hit 12 for my max. Hope to get i7 soon for this baby. Overral, it’s awesome.

I am using this with a Intel Core I5-2500K. This board is FAST and easy to setup.

I did have an issue because I wanted to use RAID. The BIOS needed to be upgraded so the Intel RAID function would work. That was a bit confusing but I was able to use a bootable USB thumb drive to accomplished this task. If you do not need RAID, the update was not necessary and every thing works great.

After getting up and running, run the driver disk and select to install all. Then go find the updated Renesas USB 3 driver if you plan to use USB 3 any time soon, because the one provided is outdated and SLOW.

Paired with an i5-2400S, works great.

Bought it for 84 bucks, didn’t do the rebate, SO CHEAP!

Allows for turbo boost overclocking, so could probably get any second gen Sandy Bridge to max turbo freq.

This is actually my first MSI mobo buy, previous motherboards I’ve had from MSI were given to me by friends and were usually broken so this was technically a leap of faith.

Completely ignored any ram list and stuck 2x4GB XMS sticks in and it loaded them fine, so it’s not picky about ram, but that’s in single channel, assume you need supported ram for dual channel.

Paired it with a Radeon HD 7770, great results, no issues from PCI express slots that I’ve had with other motherboards, plus it supports crossfire, will change review if that’s ever attempted.

Great Motherboard, might choose MSI over Asus next time I’m looking for an overclock computer.

The only problem, and I removed no stars for this because it’s a personal issue, is that the bios is so simple but annoyingly set up. Wording in some places is stupid too.
