Very nice monitor for the price,
I purchased this monitor to complete a dual monitor set up and it has worked out
real nice.
The Dell is sitting on top of an older (but I love it) ViewSonic P225 and is hooked up to a GeForce 6200 card through a DVI-I Male to VGA Male cable from HDE $13.00 from Amazon. The set up is sweet and not expensive (Card and Monitor $150.00).
I am a bit spoiled with the ViewSonic CRT as it is a professional machine and that is how I used it (CAD), so giving the Dell kudos is a bit hard, but for my application and for a stand alone monitor, it is a good choice.
The controls are well laid out (bottom right with full adjust for bright, pin, pos, Etc.) and On/Off.
The stand is sound with only slight wobble and the power and graphics cords come out the bottom on either side of the mount.
The screen is very bright (brighter than my CRT) but definition is not as good.

When I bought this I didn’t want to pay too much money for a new monitor. I had one of those huge old ones which gave me very little desk space – even though it worked fine it was just too big. This was a good deal for the money – vivid colors – clear pics. The only thing was that seemed smaller than what I expected, but at least I’m now able to use my desk.

I love this monitor great for dual screen which you see in alot of tech reviewers! It is very bright i always find myself turning the brightness down at night for my eyes. Also has a VERY easy to use menu and comes with all cables. Im gonna buy a VGA to HDMI to use for a small in bedroom tv.
