I have a HAF X and thought I’d get it’s ‘little brother’. All in all it is a very good case. I had trouble getting the X docs to line up with the drives, but other than that, it is a good Mid Tower case. It is larger than most Mid Towers. I consider that a pro not a con. I was able to put an 11.5″ HD 6950 in it with room to spare. There is plenty of room for cable management and a great CPU back plate cut out. The only cons I can think of are the X docs problem where some drives line up and some don’t and the USB 3.0 cable to the front panel is a little short. The USB 3.0 cable is useable but may require some creative routing. You can install an additional 200mm fan in the top, but the top will not fit on unless you cut off the tabs on the top panel. Makes you wonder, do they ever actually use the things they build. But, all things considered, I consider this case a steal at the current price point. It has room for anything you want to put in it and great cable management. And in case you are wondering about large CPU coolers, my Noctua NH-D14 fit with room to spare. All things considered, I am quite pleased with my purchase and would buy it again. I’m not sure there is a better Mid Tower case on the market at this price point. And for those who don’t know, if you are not going to use the side fan and want a windowed side panel, Cooler Master makes one and can be purchased from their web site for $20. And yes, it has the handle for the side panel also. My favorite part. I build a lot of computers and work on them quite often, so easy open/close is a big advantage for someone like me. And if you don’t mind a little modding, you can put a 360mm radiator in the top pretty easily.

Ok so if your on the fence about buying a case worth your time, this is the case you should consider. A PC case is an investment because its something you can build off of numerous times if its a great and reliable product. The Coolermaster HAF XM is the most cost efficient, durable and probably one of the highest quality cases between the $99-150 range. It has everything you need plus more to build your system.

    PROS
    — Firstly, airflow… Honeycomb grill plus removeable, mesh dust filters at every air intake on case.
    — Supports 4 200mm fans(comes with 2!), SATA X-Docks for drive swapping with ease.
    — Extra hidden 2.5 inch SSD mount behind motherboard tray.(Bonus)
    — Easy to maintain as in removing panels and accessing items.
    — Optical drive switch locks so no screws needed.
    — Supports E-ATX, ATX and M-ATX Boards.
    — Removeable top half of HDD cage for up to 18.2 inches for bigger GPUS…13.9in with full HDD cage
    — Can attach 2 120 mm fans to Full HDD cage assembly for added airflow.
    — Excellent cable management routing holes and sliding psu cable cover for a clean look.
    — Best Case your gonna buy thats labled a mid tower. This case is truly IMO a “full tower”

    CONS
    — Front facing panel attaches by these plastic plugs that are just too… “plastic” if you know what I mean. Install your parts dont open your front panel over and over again unless necessary.

    — Optical Drive lock pins that “lock the drive in slot” sometimes will not fully recess back when you switch the lock open.. Simple solution. Slightly pull the lock switch and pin will recess enough to slide new drive in or out. Dont want to slam a drive in and break the pin that locks them.

Thats about it.. No Real major issues at all. This case is spectacular. 5 Stars.

    So Much More Than A Mid-Tower, May 7, 2012
This review is from: Cooler Master RC-922XM-KKN1 HAF XM Mid Tower ATX Case with USB 3.0 and External SATA X-Dock (Personal Computers)

    Pros:

Easily Big Enough For Any And All Builds
Fans Cool Quite Well + Plenty Of Extra Mounting Spots
Tons Of Space For Cable Management
    Great Price

    Cons:

Machine Tightened Thumb Screws Were A Pain To Get Loosened For Expansion Slots
Dust Filters Aren’t Removable Once Fans Are Installed, But The Pieces Are Easily Removed To Blow Them Out (Except For the Power Supply Dust Filter, You’re Screwed There)
Is Extremely Large For A Mid-Tower (Not Personally A Con, But It Could Affect Those With Smaller Desks)

I highly recommend the Cooler Master HAF XM, it’s a total steal in the mid-tower market!
